Welcome to Sihanoukville Beaches
Below is a list of the beaches in Sihanoukville near sea view villa hotel. We have given each one a star rating based not only on personal opinion but also that of our guests.
Serendipity Beach
Serendipity Beach is located on the right hand side of Ochheuteal Beach (see below) and is the beach located closest to New Sea View Villa Hotel. At parts this beach is rocky but the water quality is clean and clear. The sand quality here is excellent and there are several bars to relax at and have a spot of lunch. Free sun loungers for those that do. |

Ochheuteal Beach
Ochheuteal beach is the biggest and most popular beach in Sihanoukville. The beach stretches for more than 2km of golden sand all the way up to Otres Beach. By night, the beach bars serve tasty locally caught fresh seafood. |
| |
Otres Beach
Otres beach is serene and peaceful with only a handful of bars and bungalows. The perfect location to just chill out and relax. The water here is extremely shallow and you have to wade out about 100 metres before you can have a good swim. The water however is clear and warm. It is only a 5 minute moto drive from Serendipity Beach. |
| |
Victory Beach
Victory beach is located at the foot of Victory Hill (Weather Station Hill) and is relatively small in comparison to Sihanoukvilles other beaches. However, what it lacks in size, it makes up for in beauty and peacefullness. This is one of the best beaches to watch the sunset. |
| |
Independence Beach
Independance beach has recently been closed to the public for a development project save for a small section at the far end. The other end of the beach is accessible via Indepence Hotel but you are required to buy lunch here. This being said, the prices are quite reasonable at this 4 star hotel and the beach is immaculately maintained. |
| |
Sokha Beach
Sokha Beach is the private beach owned by the Sokha Hotel Group. You can enjoy this beach for $4.00 on weekdays and $6.00 on weekends. The beach is approx 1.5 km long and has the added benefit of being extremely clean and not having any hawkers. The water quality here is also of the highest order. We advise you to take your own drinks as they are quite expensive from the bar. |
| |
Hawaii Beach
Hawaii beach is smaller and less clean than the other beaches in Sihanoukville. This is mainly due to the fact that it is frequented more by locals than tourists. However, it can make for a nice day out if you want to be amongst the locals. |
| |
Ream National Park Beach
Get away from it all. As this beach is located in the conservation area of Preah Sihanouk National Park, this is as about deserted a paradise as you are going to find. The only other people you are likely to see are those on tours to the park and one or two crab sellers. Bring everything that you are going to need as there are no shops. |

Beaches on the Islands
Bamboo Island
Bamboo Island is situated some 10km off the shore of sihanoukville and is a perfect getaway paradise. There is only one resort left on the island (Koh Ru). However, it is possible to organise a day trip to the island with one of the many boat operators. Enjoy the sandy beaches, chrystal clear waters and lack of tipping and hawkers. Bliss!!! |
| |
Koh Ta Kiev Island
Very similar to Bamboo island and only 2 more kilometres on is Koh Ta Kiev Island. Unspoilt beaches, an undisturbed jungle paradise. Why not spend a night here as nature intended at Jonty's Jungle Camp. |
| |
Lazy Beach Island
Lazy Beach is situated on Koh Rung Samloem. A 3 hour boat trip away. Every minute spent on the boat is repaid 10 fold upon arriving at this unspoilt island paradise. There are very few island retreats left like this in the world. The beach is privately owned so you have to stay at the resort in order to appreciate the true beauty of this island. Unspoilt coral reefs, pristine jungle & some mighty fine cuisine make this island a must visit during your stay in Sihanoukville. |
